Plan de Corones/Kronplatz ski area

South Tyrol’s no. 1 ski area, Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, is just nine kilometres away from our hotel in Val Badia/Gadertal and offers you 119 kilometres of ski slopes and 32 modern lifts. It offers everything that ski newbies, occasional slope-hitters, and carving pros could wish for: long valley descents for wide, leisurely swings and the five black slopes known as the Black Five. And of course: the numerous huts with their German-Italian-Ladin cuisine and flavours – a dream! If you want to combine skiing with your thirst for knowledge, visit the architectural jewel at the summit of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz: legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner’s Messner Mountain Museum Corones, integrated into the surrounding nature by architect Zaha Hadid. And the Lumen Museum, which showcases the history of mountain photography, is also definitely worth a visit!

Antermoia practice lift – free for children and seniors

A practice lift is available for you almost right on our doorstep. On a 0.7-kilometre-long blue slope, beginners and families with children can enjoy their first experiences on skis and learn on a monitored, safe slope. The local ski school, PicAnt, will teach you this winter sport in a playful way. Full ski equipment can be rented at the ski rental shop directly at the lift. And the best part? For all children up to the age of 12 and seniors over the age of 65, skiing in Antermoia is free of charge! The lift is open in winter from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. every day. While the little ones have fun learning to ski, parents can look forward to a varied alternative programme.

Alta Badia ski area

A winter holiday just wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the Alta Badia ski area, just 20 kilometres away. No other area of the Alps offers such a unique natural landscape. Here, you can wend your way down the fantastic slopes while always keeping the pride of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage, Sella Ronda, in sight. 130 kilometres of slopes and 53 lifts are available for your skiing fun here – including the Gran Risa world-cup piste, out-of-this-world snow parks, and numerous fun slopes. Other trademarks of the ski area are the inviting huts, the wonderful, kind, sociable people, and last but not least: the harmony between the typical South Tyrolean setting, Ladin hospitality, and Italian dolce vita.
